Opposition parties have slated an inter-ministerial report on government spending on president Jacob Zuma's Nkandla homestead as a white-wash.
DA parliamentary leader, Lindiwe Mazibuko, said South Africans will see through this poorly disguised ruse to ‘clear’ President Zuma.
She described the explanations given by Public Works Minister Thulas Nxesi and cabinet colleages as shoddy and, at times, ridiculous.
The Freedom Front Plus said the inter-ministerial report was a "smoke-screen" to protect Zuma.
Spokesperson, Pieter Groenwald, says the ministers who compiled the report were appoitned by Zuma and it's only logical that they will protect him and clear him of the scandal.
Meanwhile, the ANC and the SACP have welcomed the release of the Nkandla report.
