MAGOEBASKLOOF, April 30 (ANA) – One person was killed and 16 others were injured when a minibus taxi overturned on the R71 in Magoebaskloof, Mpumalanga, on Sunday afternoon.
Paramedics from ER24 and local emergency services arrived on the scene at about 4pm where they found the taxi on the side of the road, ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak said.
“Sixteen people were found with minor to moderate injuries. They were treated and transported to Van Velden Provincial Hospital for further care. Sadly, one person sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead.”
The cause of the crash was not yet known, he said.
