The National Union of Metal Workers of South Africa wants President Jacob Zuma to resign with immediate effect.
General Secretary Irvin Jim said during Numsa's special National congress in Boksburg on Friday that they will also stop paying contributions to Cosatu and The South African Communist Party.
"Any individual member is entitled in their own time to be active in any political party, including getting elected to leadership positions. However, no Numsa office bearer is allowed to hold any office bearer position of any political party." said Jim
Jim says Zuma's administration had been marked by one scandal after the other and they will not support the ANC in next year's elections.
