News24 found guilty of gross violation of press code

The press ombudsman has found News24 guilty for a gross violation of the Press code in relation to Afriforum.

Ombudsman Johan Retief came to this conclusion after Afriforum submitted a formal complaint about an opinion piece which was written by Pieter du Toit, the assistant editor of News24.

The Deputy CEO of Afriforum Erns Roets says this is the second time in one year that the press ombudsman had to order Du Toit to apologise to them.
