The investigation into the murder of a Gauteng man whose body was found in Mpumalanga has taken a new twist.
Wayne Henderson, 32, was found on the R50 near Standerton on Tuesday partially clothed with his throat slit, wrapped in two duvet covers and a sheet.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala says Henderson was a wanted suspect for a house robbery committed at his mother's home.
He says Henderson was driving a Renault Sandero that belonged to his father, who reported the car as stolen.
A farm worker discovered the body in the early hours of Tuesday morning not far from the car that also had bloodstains in the boot.
Henderson was identified by a family member about four hours after his body was discovered.
No arrests have been made and the police from both provinces are working together to solve the crime.
