The new National Director of Public Prosecutions has promised to lead an organisation that has the courage and ability to end the damaging state of affairs wrought by corruption and State Capture.
Advocate Shamila Batohi began her tenure as NPA boss on Friday by laying down the law to her prosecutors and promising the public to fight fearlessly to bring perpetrators of crime and corruption in the state and private sector to book.
She said revelations at the Zondo Commission as well as other Commissions of Inquiry were disturbing.
Batohi warned those who have been acting with impunity that their days are numbered.
