Alex FM has confirmed the passing of their Music Manager following an armed robbery on Thursday night.
Thirty-Two-year-old Joshua Mbatha aka DJ Josh was with two colleagues when they were stopped by about three gunmen who stole their phones and shoes.
The Chairperson for Alex FM, Isaac Mangena says it is alleged that Mbatha was shot in the chest and rushed to a nearby clinic where he died.
Alex FM is one of the oldest community radio stations in Gauteng.
Police are yet to issue a statement on the incident.
