The body of a 21-year-old Zimbabwean man, who drowned at the Cloof Wine Estate, venue to the Rocking the Daisies music festival in Darling, has been recovered.
Robert Daniels, the Tygerberg Hospital principal communications officer: Emergency Medical and Forensic Pathology Services on Saturday said :â€A friend who was with him at the time alerted emergency services. Police as well as EMS divers eventually located and retrieved his body.â€
The young man, believed to be a worker from Zimbabwe, went swimming in the dam at the festival on Friday.
His identity is not known at this stage.
At the same time, police have confirmed that eight people have been arrested at the festival so far.
Five for the possession of drugs, and three others for carrying stolen goods.
