Mother arrested for killing her toddler

A 33-year-old woman from Nababeep in the Northern Cape is behind bars for the brutal murder of her child.

Police said the woman was arrested on Friday night for allegedly bashing her two-year-old son with a rock in a veld.

The motive for the murder is not yet known.

Police said the mother is expected to appear before the local Magistrate’s court on Monday.
