A Cape Town mother has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect after she handed her baby boy to a stranger in a minibus taxi 4 days ago.
The Cape Times reported that the 29-year-old woman was taken into custody on Tuesday after her six-month-old baby, Ngcwele, was found the same day at a state safe house for women and children in Khayelitsha.
She had handed her baby to a commuter as she tried to board a taxi on Friday, but before she could get in the doors closed and the taxi drove off.
