Free State police are searching for a person who they believe can assist in the investigation into a double murder in Welkom in which a mother and baby were killed.
Spokesperson, Captain Stephen Thakeng, said the bodies of 22-year-old Zimbabwean national Ratiso Dhlengwayo and her three-month-old baby Progress, were found on Sunday.
He said a neighbour in Katanga township discovered the bodies.
“Both their throats were slit and they were certified dead at the scene,” he said.
He said the husband was nowhere to be found.
