Springbok flyhalf Morné Steyn's father was reportedly arrested for theft in Bloemfontein yesterday afternoon, just hours before his son scored all the points in the Bulls' 18-13 Super Rugby victory over the Sharks at Loftus.
Johan Steyn was apprehended by detectives from the Park Road police station at his Fichardt Park home.
Police spokesperson, Captain Chaka Marope, has confirmed the arrest to Media 24.
Fifty-six year-old Steyn Senior will appear in court on Monday.
The arrest was in connection with the alleged theft of equipment from a business in Bloemfontein, which supplies security systems.
