Paramedics were at the scene of a bus accident in which more than 70 people were injured in Tinley Manor on KZN’s north coast on Monday morning.
The bus collided with cement barriers and overturned while traveling from Umzimkulu to Nongoma on the N2.
Medi Response spokesperson, Paul Herbst says paramedics responded to the scene shortly after 3 am.
" At this stage, triage has indicated that two persons are seriously injured, seven moderately injured and a further 66 have sustained minor injuries", he said.
The jaws of life had to be used to free one of the seriously injured passengers.
A police investigation is underway.
