The Health Department says South Africa had 3,034 cases of the novel coronavirus on Saturday - up by 251 from Friday.
It says 52 people have succumbed to the virus, after the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal recorded two new deaths.
The department says a total of 108 021 tests have been conducted to date.
Gauteng is still the epicentre in the country with 1,101 infections, followed by the Western Cape at 836 and KwaZulu-Natal with 604.
The Eastern Cape has recorded 270 positive coronavirus cases.
