Police in Thabong in the Free State have discovered the lifeless body of a toddler who went missing earlier this week.
Spokesperson Brigadier MS Makhele says the 20-month old Botshelo Donavan Molete was found inside a deep fridge at a neighbours house on Thursday.
Police says the fridge was not working at the time and was situated in a building which the community used for church services.
The 23-year-old mother reported her son missing on Wednesday afternoon and a search was conducted, without success.
A Neighbour finally went to look in one of the outside buildings where the toddler's body was discovered.
Police have opened up an inquest docket and urged the community to let the law take its course.
