The newly crowned Miss World South Africa is wearing a replacement crown after the original one broke during celebrations.
Claudia Mashego, 24, a medical doctor from Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga, was crowned as the very first Miss World South Africa after the Miss South Africa Organisation lost its license.
Her original crown, called Peo, was designed by NQ Jewelry in Soweto and means 'seed' in Setswana.
Although it is not yet clear how the crown broke or the damage caused to it, Mashego is now wearing a silver crown decked with Swarovski crystals as she waits for Peo's repairs.
This was confirmed in a post on Instagram by Carol Bouwer, whose production company took over as license holder for the pageant.

The Miss SA Organisation has not commented on losing their license.
It is speculated that the license was lost due to Miss SA allowing married women to enter, which is not allowed for Miss World.
Mashego will represent the country at the Miss World finals in India in December.
South Africa has won two Miss World titles, Pennie Coelen in 1958 and Rolene Strauss in 2014.
