Memorial service for three South African sports stars

A memorial service will be held at the Standard Bank Arena today by the SA Football Association to pay tribute to Bafana
goalkeeper and captain Senzo Meyiwa, female professional boxer Phindile Mwelase and Olympic silver medalist Mbulaeni Mulaudzi.
Meyiwa, who was also the Orlando Pirates captain, was shot dead in Vosloorus, while visiting his girlfriend, singer and
actress Kelly Khumalo, on Sunday night.
On Saturday, female professional boxer Phindile Mwelase died after being in a coma for two weeks.
The 31-year-old slipped into a coma after being knocked out in a fight against Liz Butler in Pretoria on the 10th of October.
Former Olympic 800 metre silver medallist Mulaudzi was killed in a car crash on Friday.
