South African police have arrested two people in connection with the murder of national football captain Senzo Meyiwa.
The two men are reportedly being held for questioning after they were arrested at Nongoma, in eastern KwaZulu Natal.
Police in Johannesburg could not immediately confirm the arrest.
The suspects were nabbed following a tip-off by members of the public.
The 27-year-old Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper was shot dead on Sunday evening in an attempted robbery at the home of his singer/actress girlfriend Kelly Khumalo at Vosloorus on the East Rand.
