Justice Minister Jeff Radebe has released a discussion document today which forms the basis of government plans for the transformation of the judiciary.
The release of the document is a sequel to statements made by president Jacob Zuma during his state of the nation address that a review of the country's superior courts, particularly the Constitutional Court was needed.
Radebe said today that the release of this Document marks the beginning of the articulation of policies that would guide the further transformation of the judicial system in South Africa.
He says the document was considered and adopted by cabinet last November.
