Media given green light in Griekwastad murder case

 A local Griquatown magistrate has recused himself from hearing the case of a teenager arrested for a farm murder.

Correspondent Marinay Jacobs reports that a magistrate from neighbouring Groblershoop will hear the case against the 16 year old youth.

He was arrested in Bloemfontein on Tuesday for the murders of Deon Steenkamp, his wife Christelle and their daughter Marthella.

The media have been allowed to attend the proceedings even though the accused is a minor.
