A total of 259 mine workers are expected to appear in the Garankuwa Magistrate's Court on Monday following last week's violence at Marikana mine.
Police spokesperson, Captain Dennis Adrio, says they face charges of murder, attempted murder, armed robbery and public violence among others.
They were arrested last Thursday following a violent confrontation between police and striking workers of Lonmin's platinum mine in Marikana in North West.
A total of 34 people were killed and more than 78 othes injured in the shootout that erupted when police tried to disperse the stikers.
A further 10 people were killed in the preceeding week.
