Police in Mpumalanga have launched a manhunt for those involved in the brutal murder of an 86-year-old woman at an old age home at eMalahleni, (formerly Witbank.)
The shocking discovery was made late on Sunday evening after the motionless body of the elderly woman was found with multiple stab wounds to the body.
Preliminary investigations revealed that she was held hostage before the suspects stabbed her and fled with some of her belongings including her white Honda Jazz.
Police say the vehicle was found abandoned in Krugersdorp in Gauteng in the early hours of Monday morning.
Anywho who may have information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects is urged to contact the police.
A local newspaper Witbank News identified the victim as 86-year-old Johanna Rossouw.
