Former President Nelson Mandela had gallstones removed on Saturday morning and is recovering from the successful procedure.
Presidency spokesperson, Mac Maharaj says the medical team decided to attend to a lung infection before determining when to attend to the gallstones.
He says doctors gave no indication when he would be discharged.
