Mandela 'in good spirits'

The Presidency says former president Nelson Mandela is "in good spirits" and is making steady progress after a second day in hospital for a lung infection.

Spokesperson, Mac Maharaj says according to the doctors, Madiba is responding positively to the treatment he is undergoing.

Prayers and messages of concern for the ailing 94-year-old have poured in from across the globe since he was admitted to hospital late on Wednesday.
