A 25-year-old man who attempted to sneak into Botswana from Limpopo with more than R1.8 million in cash has been convicted for money laundering.
Nicholas Fouché was found with a load of cash hidden in the boot of his car in August last year while attempting to cross the border.
The Lephalale Magistrate's Court in Limpopo found him guilty of contravening the Exchange Control Regulations, Customs and Excise Act.
Fouche will remain in police custody until his sentencing on 15 September.
