A man in his thirties was left in critical condition after a trench collapsed in Bethlehem in the Free State.
ER24 said when their paramedics arrived on the scene on Friday they found the man lying in the trench beneath a boulder.
“Paramedics immediately extricated the patient and assessed him, finding that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition,” said spokesperson, Russel Meiring.
He said the man was treated on scene and then rushed to a hospital for further treatment.
