A Pretoria court has released a 22-year-old man on a warning after he admitted to slaughtering two puppies.
Christiaan Lamprecht pleaded guilty to two charges of cruelty to animals in the Pretoria North Magistrate's Court after strangling and skinning his neighbour's two puppies in January to keep them quiet.
In 2009, Lamprecht had a similar charge against him withdrawn after he strangled his neighbour's dachshund.
After the latest incident, he was sent for psychiatric evaluation which found he was not suffering from any disorder, but that he was mentally disabled.
