Man dies in generator explosion

A man was killed when his portable generator exploded in his home in Vlakfontein, south of Johannesburg on Saturday evening.

Johannesburg emergency services says the man lost his right leg in the explosion, and died on his way to hospital.

The cause of the explosion is not known.
