A man who was due to be married next week has died in a freak accident.
Police said 34-year-old Seymore Coetzee was killed on Friday when a gun lying on a washing machine fell to the floor discharging a shot.
He was hit in the stomach but died en route to hospital.
A police spokesperson says Coetzee, who was the manager of a game lodge near Bela Bela, was due to be married next Saturday.
His fiancee who was standing a few feet behind him was not hurt.
