A man has been crushed to death and several other people have been left injured after a structural collapse at a building on Yusuf Dadoo Street in the Durban CBD.
A concrete awning collapsed on the ground floor of the building.
Rescue workers managed to gain access to the building by breaching through a wall.
When they reached the other side they found six people trapped in the building who were subsequently rescued.
Four people have been injured and the K9 unit will now go into the building to see if there are any more victims or survivors.
