A 31-year-old Richards Bay man was on Tuesday arrested after he was caught driving his Golf GTI at a reported 235km on the N2 near Mtunzini, KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Services said.
Spokesperson Robert McKenzie said he was arrested by Gingindlovu Road Traffic Inspectorate officers at around 5pm on the N2 near Mtunzini, which is about 30 kilometres south of Richards Bay.
He was charged with reckless and negligent driving and exceeding the speed limit on a national highway, he said.
The man is expected to appear in the Mtunzini Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
