A man accused of smuggling illicit cigarettes and other items into the country at the Kopfontein Border Post in North West will spend another week behind bars.
A regional spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Henry Mamothame said Livy Katebe has been in custody since his arrest at the border on the 20th of July.
He was arrested after his vehicle was found to be loaded with cartons of cigarettes, boxes of illegal appetite suppressants, artificial hair and cellphone covers.
The Defence indicated this week that Katebe intends to take a plea agreement.
The matter was postponed to the 25th of September.
