The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation in Gauteng has arrested a 58-year-old man for conspiracy to commit murder and intimidation.
The suspect, was arrest last Thursday, for numerous incidents dating back to April, which included continuously stalking and sending death threats to several Hawks members.
The man is also believed to have threatened to assassinate senior government officials, accusing them of lying about the existence of the covid-19 pandemic in South Africa.
He also claimed to be responsible for the recent death of two Hawks members during a stand-off with cash-in-transit robbers in Mahikeng.
The man who was arrested at his girlfriend's house in Ratanda is expected to appear at the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
