A 34-year-old man is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrates court on Monday following the murder of a woman almost a year ago.
Police Spokesperson Captain Daniel Mavimbela says the 28-year-old victim was reported missing on the 22nd of December 2017 a day after she reportedly disappeared for work during her tea break.
Her body was discovered inside a chimney in the Department of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries' building in Pretoria during last year's Christmas Break.
The discovery was made by a security guard on the 28th of December.
Mavimbela says Detective Constable Jeremiah Mpiti, who got assigned to the case had very little evidence in piecing together the facts, but his investigation eventually led him to the arrest of a 34-year-old man from Mamelodi.
The victim was employed by a company that renders a private service with the department.
Police did not supply the name of the victim.
