A man accused of beating a Muslim to death is expected back in the Krugersdorp Regional Court on Friday.
Twenty-eight year old Roedolf Viviers was denied bail at his last court appearance in August.
He faces charges of murder and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
A second man, 33-year-old Zayne van Tonder, who has been accused of assault, is out on R2 000 bail.
The two allegedly insulted 27-year-old Muhammad Fayaaz Kazi, and his friend Anser Mahmood, at a fast food outlet in Magaliesburg in August over their beards.
An argument and a fight ensued.
Kazi was severely beaten and died later in hospital.
