The Justice Ministry says a magistrates' strike expected to start on Monday should cause little disruption.
Ministry spokesperson, Mthunzi Maga, says they're busy appointing acting magistrates which will ensure that court cases continue.
He says magistrates who join the strike could face disciplinary action or even impeachment.
Maga's said members of the public can report problems to court managers who will be at all the courts.
Members of the Judicial Officers Association of South Africa threatened to go on strike from Monday in support of pay demands.
