Eskom says the probability of load shedding on Friday is low.
The embattled power utility says in a statement released late on Thursday night that due to further improvement in generation performance and the strides made in replenishing water and diesel reserves, it is unlikely that load shedding will be implemented on Friday.
Eskom says however, the system remains constraint and vulnerable, and the situation could change during the day.
Consumers are asked to use electricity sparingly and to switch off all non-essential appliances, including geyzers and swimming pool pumps.
