Limpopo police have issued an identikit of a man they are seeking in connection with the murder of a Roman Catholic priest at a church last month.
Spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Thakeng, said incident happened at the church in Aquer Park in Tzaneen on 13 March.
He said the suspect entered the church at around 07:00 during a prayer session and sat next to the priest.
Thakeng said when the priest later proceeded to the changing room, the suspect, identified as 38-year-old William Banda, followed him.
“After some time, the suspect shot the priest twice in the head before fleeing the scene in an unidentified motor vehicle.
The police are appealing to anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts to contact Colonel Richard Boshomane at 079 894 5501, Warrant Officer Phaladi Makola at 082 749 2233 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
