Limpopo police have launched a search for the mother of a baby, found abandoned in a food outlet in Polokwane on Saturday.
Spokesperson, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe says it is alleged that one of the customers went to the toilet and was shocked to find the baby placed on the floor wearing a jersey and wrapped with a blanket.
She then alerted employees, and the police were called in.
They took the little boy to a hospital for medical examination.
Ngoepe says police are investigating a case of child neglect.
