KZN serial rapist jailed for life

A 27-year old Kwa Zulu Natal man has been sentenced to six life terms plus an additional 142 years behind bars for multiple counts of rape, housebreaking with intent to commit rape, and robberies.

Lindokuhle Zungu was sentenced in the Mtunzini High Court on Friday after he was convicted for the crimes committed in Nongoma and Mlazi between November 2014 and December 2018.

Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority, Natasha Ramkisson-Kara says he was also convicted of the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

She says he was arrested in January 2019.
