The mother of a Durban baby at the centre of a hijacking drama is due to appear in court this week.
The woman was arrested along with two other people on Sunday morning after one-month old Siwaphiwe Mbambo was found unharmed at Marianhill toll plaza in KZN in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The child, who disappeared on Friday during an apparent hijacking was found in a car that was intercepted at the toll plaza.
Police said that a roadblock was set up at the tollgate after putting together leads form interviews, leading to the recovery of the baby girl and the three arrests, said national police spokesperson, Brigadier Sally de Beer.
