CAPE TOWN, March 12 (ANA) – National Assembly Deputy Speaker Lechesa Tsenoli will head the parliamentary delegation to receive a high level delegation from the Senate of Nigeria on Tuesday.
The Nigerian Parliament had proposed the visit for the two sister legislative institutions to discuss matters of mutual interest and to strengthen existing diplomatic relations between the two countries, particularly in the context of recent tensions between certain members of some communities and some foreign nationals, Parliament said in a statement on Sunday.
The delegations from the two countries would be led respectively by Tsenoli and his Nigerian counterpart Senate deputy president Ike Ekweremadu, the statement said.
