ANC-MP Jackson Mthembu was discharged from hospital on Wednesday, following treatment after he was shot in a robbery.
Party spokesperson, Zizi Kodwa says Mthembu spent 10 days in the Emalahleni Private Hospital after being shot on the 19th of October.
Mthembu was drawing money at an ATM in Witbank when he was approached by an armed man who demanded that he draw all his money from his account.
A scuffle ensued and Mthembu was shot.
Kodwa said the ANC was relieved at the progress Mthembu had made.
He said the bullet that struck him, pierced his lung, broke two ribs, and exited through his back.
Mthembu has been booked off work until the end of November.
