Murder accused paralympian Oscar Pistorius was greeted by a huge media contingent when he made a brief appearance in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Tuesday morning.
The pre-trail hearing for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp lasted for just 16 minutes as the case was postponed to the 19th of August for further investigation.
Ironically, the 19th of August would have been Steenkamp's 30th birthday.
Pistorius is charged with premeditated murder after his Port Elizabeth model-girlfriend Steenkamp was shot dead in his Pretoria home on Valentines day.
He remains out on bail of a million rands and was whisked away from court in a silver four-by-four.
Some journalists fell in the ensuing push and shove to get closer.
