The Right2Know campaign has called on the National Council of Provinces to vote with their conscience on Thursday when considering the so-called secrecy bill.
This, after the ANC majority on the NCOP's ad-hoc committee passed the final draft of the Protection of State Information Bill when opposition parties walked out in protest.
In a statement the Right2Know Campaign said after more than 2 years of campaigning, the Bill still fails its 7 point freedom test.
The National Council of Provinces may vote on Thursday to take the Secrecy Bill one step closer to becoming law in spite of widespread opposition.
