Illegal miners trapped in Jhb goldmine located

Two illegal miners trapped in a disused goldmine in Johannesburg after a rockfall today, have been located.

The men, both Zimbabweans, were part of a group mining illegally for gold in a disused shaft at Durban Deep on the West Rand.

The rockfall happened shortly after midnight.

Six illegal miners, all Zimbabweans, managed to escape and raise the alarm.
