The Independent Electoral Commission has cautioned voters not to take so-called selfies in the ballot booth or of their ballot papers during Wednesday's elections.
IEC spokesperson, Kate Bapela, says it's an offence to take or publish photographs which reveal a person's vote on a ballot paper.
She says while it's not viable to take away all voters' cellphones as they enter the booths, the IEC's asking people to respect the law.
Bapela says voters may take photographs of themselves outside the voting station and of their inked thumbs to show their participation.
