Free State police are continuing the search for a couple linked to the so-called ‘House of Horrors’ in Bloemspruit.
Police said that the couple, John and Chantel Deminey, aged 45 and 37, have been on the run since skipping their last court appearance in March in a sexual offences case.
Their names were released by the police to assist in tracking them down.
According to the police spokesperson, Warrant Officer, Lorraine Earle, the Deminey’s had been appearing before the Bloemfontein High Court until they were released on a warning.
“However the couple has since disappeared and cannot be traced anywhere. A warrant of arrest has been issued for the two suspects,” she said.
Earle said that anyone with information or know their whereabouts of the Deminey’s should contact the investigating officer at the Mangaung Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offence Unit, Detective Warrant Officer Leseyego Matekane on following numbers 078 400 7840 or 051 406 4499.
