Pretoria policeman Gerhardus du Plessis and Martin Pieterse were found guilty and sentenced on Wednesday to 18 years imprisonment for the murder of Chanelle Henning.
The pair appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court at the conclusion of plea bargain negotiations with the State.
The two are part of a group of five men arrested in connection with the drive-by shooting of the young mother on November 8 in Faerie Glen, Pretoria.
Pieterse was arrested in a Despatch pub a few days after the murder.
The two pleaded guilty to all the charges and were sentenced to five years for possession of an unlicensed firearm and three years for the possession of ammunition.
The sentences will run concurrently, which means they will serve an effective 18 years behind bars. (Sapa)
