Police in Gauteng have opened up an enquiry docket following the discovery of firearms buried in a veld in Krugersdorp.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Sello says on Thursday morning people were collecting firewood and stumbled upon a pack of stun grenades.
Police officials were notified and relevant police departments were immediately mobilised.
Police recovered four AK-47's, 20 hand grenades, two 9mm firearms, ten detonators, 16 AK-47 magazines with 480 ammunition as well as a sealed box containing 700 rounds of ammo.
